Where is Morzine?
In the heart of the enormous Portes du Soleil ski area, which straddles the border between France and Switzerland in the Alps, Morzine is a resort that offers a great deal to a variety of different skiers and snowboarders. With miles after mile of fairly gentle slopes, many of which are flanked by trees (excellent shelter and improved visibility in bad weather), Morzine is a wonderful place for beginners to make their first turns and build confidence in a picturesque and friendly environment.
The Portes du Soleil area comprises 12 villages – including Les Gets, Avoriaz and Châtel– and 650km of pistes, making it a dream destination for piste skiers that want to get serious distance under their skis.
