Rumour has it that Meribel is the ski resort where the ski holiday staple toffee vodka was invented! Whether or not that not-so-urban legend is true, Meribel’s apres ski scene remains a powerhouse.
There are a ton of great bars in Meribel. If you like a drink after a long day on the slopes and you’re looking for the best apres ski, Meribel has options for all tastes.
Le Rond Point aka ‘The Ronnie’
Located at the top of Meribel centre, just of the main Doron piste, the sun terrace, live bands and toffee vodka sold by the bottle attract large crowds.
Expect The Ronnie to be busy with partygoers dancing and partying hard between 4 and 7pm when it closes. It’s especially busy on Wednesdays with is the most common chalet staff day off.
If you’ve had too many to safely ski back down you can take the free Meribel resort bus.
La Folie Douce
Located at the mid station of the Saulire lift, après ski at the Folie is less Rock and Roll and more House than The Ronnie. Expect a more international jetset crowd more comfortable with bottles of Champagne than toffee vodka.
Don’t think that it’s any less of a party though! Live music including DJs, singers and saxophonists accompanied by cabaret dancers make sure that everyone is up dancing on table in their ski boots!
There’s also a large selection of food on offer from paninis at the kiosk, to gourmet burgers from the BBQ, to fine dining at La Fruitere. Just don’t be surprised if you get covered in a Champagne shower after your meal!
Jack’s Bar
There are often live bands on at around 5pm and happy hours offering 2 for 1 cocktails if you get there a bit earlier. The staff are super friendly and you can catch all the major sporting events on the TVs dotted around.
La Taverne
La Taverne is known for showing all the big sports matches on their huge big-screen projector as well as for being a great place to begin your nights out a bit later on with a mega happy hour from 8 to 10pm.
Doron Pub
With acoustic bands, live sport or ski movies on the tellies and a couple of pool tables things are relatively chilled out here at apres.
Don’t expect to find the same relaxed vibes later on in the evening though! From 10pm onwards this is one of Meribel’s best party bars and things definitely get loose!

Lodge du Village
Down in Meribel Village, the Lodge du Village is a fittingly charming village pub with a twist – this place gets rowdier than your Grandad’s local.
A slightly hidden gem with great happy hours and rockin’ live music, this place can really get jumping – especially on Wing Wednesday.
If you’re not staying in Meribel Village then ski down here from the Altiport and take a free Meribel shuttle bus up to your neighbourhood once you’re all partied out.
La Poste
If you want to keep the party going after apres then consider:
LES Saint Peres aka le loft
Sully’s Meribel
This club has seen some fantastic renovations and has a great lineup of entertainment to keep the party animals coming back despite its location just outside of the town centre.
